Magna Pacific DVD Release Schedule
| ABOUT THE DVDS Since early 1999 Magna Pacifc
have only released a handful of DVDs, like Four Features(with John Wayne) and the Jett Li
vehicle "Black Mask".
In late 1999 MP bought out Becker Entertainment and scored for themselves one very nice
catalogue of movies. Think Four Wedding and a Funeral, Scream, and Dances with
Wolves, to name just a few.
Since the merger, their first "mainstream" title
to come to DVD will be the Box office Smash hit The Blair Witch Project, and MP are most
certainly giving it the Royal Treatment. This DVD will be chock full of goodies,
many the same as the region 1 version.
In a first for region 4 DVD. TBWP will be the first
DVD released the market as a RENTAL ONLY. All other DVDs released in region 4 to
date have gone straight to sellthru regardless of whether they are back catalogue or brand
new releases. TBWP will be available on sellthru only 2 weeks after the rental
release...this is just to give a small window for the rental.
For now, DVDs will carry a RRP of around $29.95 to
34.95. |
