ABOUT BUENA VISTA DVDS:
BV released their first batch of DVDs in May 1999.....and until mid 2001, BV DVDs
were distributed in Australia by WARNER, who
also distributed BV DVDs in Region 2....
The DVDs we see in Region 4 will most likely (for cost reasons) be exactly the same
as the region 2 releases...this means that we will also be getting some 16:9 transfers,
some matted widescreen, some double sided (flippers) and some Dual Layered (RSDL)....and
in most cases, no additional features like trailers, featurettes...which is a pityMid 2001 has seen the Distribution Deal with Warner come to a close
and now BV handle their own DVD Distribution
Retail Price will be approx $34.95 and the casing will be the Excellent Amaray brand..
In Late 2001, Buena Vista began re-releasing DVD that were
originally Flippers DVD10's) as DVD9s (RSDL). Some of Which were Special Editions
(like Air Force One) |
