| ABOUT FOX DVDS: Fox's DVDebut in Australia was with the Blockbuster hit Titanic,
which received a first in DVD with its SIMILTANEOUS WORLD RELEASE. To the Displeasure of
many (self included) Titanic was only released as a 4x3 Letterboxed release (as opposed to
the far superious 16:9 Enhanced format) AND it was carrying a sale price of a whopping
$49.95.
since then FOX have dropped their price and most of their DVDs now sell for about $33.00
and the best part is that our PAL versions are, to date, ALL released in the 16:9
Anamorphic Widescreen format, where nearly all region 1 Fox releases are merely 4x3
Letterbox.
FOX are the first to release their DVDs with the very nice
CLEAR and Genuine AMARAY Case.
All the information one requires for DVD are included on
the DVD Slick (even if it's 16:9 Enhanced or not)
In comparison to what FOX release in the USA, the Region 4
Versions are looking much better indeed
From January 2000, FOX are the international Distributors
for MGM, the first title being the Thomas Crown Affair |
