Sir Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal and two-time Academy Award® nominee Julianne Moore
as the haunted Special Agent Clarice Starling, this is more than just a movie. Hannibal
on DVD gives you all of the behind-the-scenes action as well as never-before-seen footage
that will blow your mind. This chilling double-disc package boasts five behind-the-scenes
featurettes about the making of the movie focusing specifically on pre-production,
production, special make-up effects, music and the film's premiere. There are also 15
deleted and extended scenes with optional director's commentary, not to mention an amazing
never-before-seen alternate ending to the movie, which also includes an optional
director's commentary. Now you can experience for yourself the ending that didn't make the
final cut.
The powerful musical score, composed
by Gladiator great Hans Zimmer, can be heard in both DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1
audio, a privilege previously only available on the Gladiator and Close
Encounters of the Third Kind DVDs.
Directorial insight from genius
Ridley Scott (previously directed Gladiator, Alien, Bladerunner Thelma
and Louise and his new blockbuster Blackhawk Dawn) is gained through
many features on this DVD, such as 'Anatomy of a Shoot-Out' a multi camera
breakdown of "The Fish Market" scene using the angle change function;
'Ridleygrams' another multi-angle featurette examining the art of storyboarding
with a Ridley Scott interview and 'Opening Title Design' which also uses the angle
change function to explore the opening credit sequence with an optional director's
commentary.
As if these state-of-the-art DVD
special features werent enough, an Easter Egg has also been added to Hannibal,
following in the footsteps of the latest and greatest DVDs. This recent DVD phenomenon has
