More Reviews with that Bite
And this concludes our Jaws "Trilogy" of Sequels for today

A DVD that'll have you Howling
After many months of anxious wait, we have the finalised specs for the February 2002 release of John Landis's highly praised horror comedy Hit An American Werewolf in London.

Univeral Pictures are set to release the [now labelled] 21st Anniverary Edition of this cult favourite with the following set of goodies.

An American Werewolf in London (21st Anniverary Edition)
Picture :
  Anamorphic Widescreen
Audio : Dolby digital 5.1
Extras :

  • Audio Commentary from the lead actors
  • Behind-the-Scenes footage
  • Outtakes
  • Interviews with John Landis and Rick Baker
  • Focus on Technical Effects
  • Storyboard to Film Comparison
  • Stills Gallery
  • 4-Page Booklet with Production Notes

Yet again, region 4 misses out on a DTS track from Universal, which is disappointing to see, but given the specs, it looks to be the only thing of substance missing from our version over the recently released region 1 USA version.  And with the 5.1 track being sourced from "21" year old audio stems, there's probably not a whole lot of differnce, or major bang for your bucks in the remixed 5.1 track that'd cause that little green monster inside one's self to rise to the surface (though I believe there's another little green monster that would probably disagree with his soon to be released DVD being DTS-less)

OH and John Landis fans might want to check out the chat transcripts over at The Digital Bits from his recent stint on the HT Forum..good read

BTW We heard a rumour that Univeral are looking to release BTTF the second half of 2002.

Upcoming DVD Slicks and Menus

It's been a while hasn't it.  Time does have a way of slipping away from one's self :)   Not only has there been quite a lack of news coming our way of late, but we've doing some behind the scenes tinkering back in mid september to create another new look webiste...getting there slowly  (some of you may have noticed a few funny looking graphics on the main page...which aren't suppose to be there, but they fit, so they're staying for now :) .i really do think there is some chemical reaction in the review discs we get as a few other DVD sites did a Cher and upgraded with V6.41.01 of How to keep you facelift looking fresh at around the same time :)...hmmmmm

Anyhoo, we've just a few reviews today, but there are some more goodies coming up shortly, so we'll post them as soon as possible (i'm sorry for the slackness, but it's actually been quite fun working on the new look..it has a groovy new toy that you'll be able to play with...well so long as you DON"T use netscape, in which it only partially works! ...curse-d thing :))

DVD Reviews all 'round
Cass, Paul and I have all gotten in on the review act for a change and bring you, The Scientology funded Battlefield Earth, The New South Wales based Blue Murder, The now ironically titled (to some) Portrait of a Lady, something many in Hollywood and the free thinking world which Joe Esterhas would take to his own person with, Jagged Edge, and finally, the one i couldn't think up a lame lead in for Thunderheart.
